I have a hard time calling that a hatchback. It doesn’t have a cargo area window. It doesn’t look like it has much more interior space than a sedan. It’s more like a sedan witha lift up trunk

A sedan with a lift-up trunk can technically be a hatchback. That’s why they call the Prius a “hatchback” in the UK.

The quintessential hatchback has no cargo area window and has basically the same interior room than the sedan:
I will agree that the roof line slopes down a lot, but so does the previous gen Focus and Civic, and those 2 are hatchbacks:

I read somewhere online that said it has 122 cubic feet interior space, that’s only 3 shy of the most recent generation of the Jetta sportwagen.
